to make in advance an appointment for an advice
at our Office is due to the fact that the length
of each advice varies greatly according to customer’s
specific needs and to the features of the philatelic
material submitted. Therefore, it can vary from
a minimum of half an hour to a maximum of 3 hours.
We’ve decided to open the office also on
Saturday and Sunday, from 9 am to 8 pm, in order
to receive and benefit customers coming from different
parts of Italy and from abroad who, for work reasons,
cannot travel long distances during the week. We
are the only Philatelic Office in Italy giving you
this opportunity and the only one opening continuously
during the months of July and August. We recommend
in any case to make an appointment in advance.
To conclude, we remind you that our business, in
consideration of the ubiquity of our customers,
is made mainly through postal service, representing
the fastest, the cheapest and the safest way to
send your material to be expertised. We recommend
to always use Conventional Insured mail and to definitely
avoid using Carriers and Private Postal Services.
They do not guarantee to send the items in due time
and they usually deliver highly damaged, folded
and partially opened parcels; in addition, in the
case we are not present when they deliver the items,
the times for redelivery grow longer. With Conventional
Insured mail of the Italian Postal Service delivery
times are generally very fast: 24 hours or at least
48 hours.
On request, in the case of inspection or valuation
of a large, and therefore difficult to be transported,
philatelic or numismatic collection we will also
go to customer’s house usually on Saturday
and Sunday. In these cases, our fees, including
already the reimbursement of the supported charges,
are the following:
- 200,00 euro + VAT for Genoa and province
- 400,00 euro + VAT for distances lower than 400
km (roundtrip)
- 1,00 euro per km + VAT for distances higher than
400 km (roundtrip)
